Goddess Rising
Civilization as
we know it has been destroyed, not through war or asteroid impact, but
by a geologic holocaust of planetary proportions. The scattered
survivors live simply, primitively, bonded to the earth and the Great
Goddess. Their one hope lies in the dream-given prophecy that Greer the
Sibling, a female savior, will rise and restore them to greatness. An
epic and magical story of one woman's exceptional destiny during
exceptional times, Goddess Rising follows Greer's journey from simple
obscurity to her prophesied reign. Acknowledged as the face of the
Goddess on earth, Greer discovers the rewards of power-and the price-as
she struggles through her own labyrinth of fear and desire, sexuality
and sacrifice, love and death.

RAVES FOR GODDESS RISING
"I
have rarely been so captivated by a story and its characters, but I
couldn't put Goddess Rising down. I felt a special kinship with
Greer and I didn't want her story to end."
—C.
Diane Ealy, Ph.D., author of The Woman's Book
of Creativity.
"A heroine, a story and old, old
wisdom perfect for these times. I came away from Goddess Rising
nourished and heartened."

Sojourner, author of Delicate: Stories of Light & Desire and Sisters
of the Dream
“Bowersock writes with a passionate,
poetic style.”

Mythical and Inviting
I
thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Hero's Journey was evident throughout
the book from the initial refusal of the call to the facing of enemies,
discovering our allies, the return with the treasure, and the final
difficulty of living in two worlds. Joseph Campbell would be proud! The
crafting of Greer's act of surrender, of being true to one's purpose in
life, regardless of personal desires and outcome, exemplified the
struggle we each go through in order to be true to ourselves and our
Soul Path. Brava! —C.A., Portland, OR.
Absorbing and Inspirational
The
characters were beautifully and deeply introduced and I felt a strong
bond with each of them. I immensely enjoyed this read. I will read it
again and again over the months and years to come. —B.P., Seattle, WA.
Enlightening and Inspired
Goddess Rising is
one of those rare books that not only provides the reader with a good
story, but also brings greater understanding and a level of
higher-consciousness to one’s own self and soul purpose. As I was
reading this book I found myself connecting with Greer on a multitude of
levels and found her story to be my story, as well as every other
woman’s story who finds herself standing at the edge of a path leading
towards awakening. Greer is truly Everywoman.

Ancient Belief Systems
Melissa
Bowersock's Goddess Rising speaks to the belly of your belief
systems. After studying comparative religions for twenty years, this is
one of the few books I've read that takes the inner qualities that
created beliefs and puts it in a format that is not only entertaining
but educational. It gives the reader a look at how it all may have
started in a story format that you simply cannot put down!
—S. W., WI.
A
Story That Expands Your View of Life
It is
rare to encounter a book that can have a lasting impact as Goddess
Rising. This story will definitely expand your view of life. Read it
once and read it again after a few months. You will notice new insights
each and every time you read Greer's story. —J. H. Princeton, NJ.
Not
Just a Good Read
I've
never read a book like it. It's fantastic. I can see
why the author cried when she finished it. Goddess
Rising is an experience, not
just a story. —P.L. Cambridge, Wisconsin
Goddess Rising
Rises To and Exceeds Expectations
I could
not put it down. The story is timeless. The Goddess in each of us (woman
and man) is worth finding/honoring and this tale exemplifies the
journey. I didn't expect so much! Even if it hadn't augmented my
personal journey, I'd enjoy it for the action, detailed geology, the
challenges, (s)heroism, the inclusive cast of characters, and the
respectful handling of life in general. Have a sit, read Goddess
Rising, those who do are again blessed. —L.B. Lakewood, CO.
